Often times, small cavities can be treated with a filling restoration. At Dental Creations of Daytona Beach, we only use tooth-colored composite materials for all of our fillings. These composite materials have the advantage of being bonded directly to your teeth so we only remove the unhealthy decayed portion of the tooth and we are able to maintain substantially more healthy tooth structure than ever before!
We also utilize our technology to create an 'indirect filling' option when appropriate. They are used when a tooth has too much damage to support a filling but not enough to necessitate a crown. Often times, it is called an 'inlay' or an 'onlay'. We are able to complete it in a single visit by using a digital scanner to take images of your prepared tooth followed by milling the restoration from a strong resin composite block.
